Description: 1999 Pewter 2DR, Soft Top Options: Sunroof Comments: I bought my 1999 RAV4 about a month ago after realizing that my 2003 Mercedes C230 Coupe preferred full time fair weather. I mean it won't budge in an 1/8" of snow riding on a flat surface. Since I need to be able to get to work I decided to buy a used RAV4. Consumer reports rated it the best compact full time 4 wheel drive. So here I am proud to be a new RAV4 owner. Within a week I had replaced the Toyota Stereo unit with a Kenwood 4022 unit, replaced all 4 speakers with Kenwood speakers, and installed an 8" powered Bazooka Tube sub. The sound is awesome, actually better than the Benz Bose system and I am picky. I replaced the OEM steel wheels with the factory 5 spoke curved alloy (from Brandsport :-) ) Great looking wheels. It has snowed twice since I bought it and it handled it like a charm. This spring I plan on getting it painted, the body and paint are in fabulous condition, but I am not fond of the color. I would like to paint it bright yellow or black. With the "OLD" wheels. With the "NEW" wheels.
