I built this bike rack to carry my bicycle inside the car. It's simply a piece of plywood, cut to size, with a bike clamp and wheel holder bolted to it. Advantages: The bike's inside the car, and I can leave it there in between rides. The rack isn't bolted down, so you can just stick it in and/or pull it out in seconds.
