| January 28, 2002 Name: Ray Jenner Location: Harlington in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom Comments: "Mine's a 1997 5-Door GX 4X4 in Crystal Aqua, not many extra's just a Tow hitch for our Caravan and a CD player instead of the standard cassette player. We have owned it from new with NO (repeat NO) problems whatsoever, apart from having the tracking set-up at 5000 miles (tyres wearing uneven). It's now done 73000 miles, serviced regularly and ALWAYS use synthetic oil. A really good solid vehicle. Our Rav has traveled over most of Europe, towing our caravan on Holidays, and occasionally taking us to 'Beautiful 'off the tourist trail' places. The caravan is a UK made 1995 Elddis Gulfstream 2-berth. Unladen weight is 960 Kilo's. I never load up to more than 1150 Kilo's otherwise the Petrol Rav's performance drops too far (Maybe the 'New' diesel would be a better weight 'lugger') But I like the 2 litre 4wd's Solo performance too much to change. The Rav is the best 'All -Rounder Tow-car' I have ever owned.It will cruise all day at the UK legal towing speed limit 60mph (it would go a lot faster if asked!) and I seldom need to change down a gear for inclines."
