Name: Don Stellwagen
Comments: "I purchased my 1998 RAV4 used on March 1, 2001 with 21,800 miles on it. It's a natural white automatic 4WD with all the options. Our co-worker on a USPS contract mail route has a 1997 RAV4 that I drove this winter in ice and snow and when I needed to find a vehicle to use on the route the only thing I wanted was a RAV4. We drive over 170 miles a day on very rural roads, some dirt, hilly and windy. It has the extra value package with air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, privacy glass, roof racks, and rear bumper/tow hitch. The only options added so far is a Nokia hands free phone system, and since the pictures, rally dual road/fog lights. A mail carrier doesn’t have the option of not going to work because of the snow and ice. The only way to stop a RAV4 is to lock the keys inside. This RAV4 is a beauty to drive in the snow and ice."

225_2.jpg Update: October 08, 2001 Updated BOTH photos and - "New Toyo Open Country A/T 215-70R-16 tires on three spoke Toyota alloy wheels and a three trumpet electric air horn. Also a alternating flashing light system, front and rear, that can be activated by a switch or when my brake lights are activated. The rear lights are located inside, one on each side of the third brake light. The front ones are located in the lower bumper cutouts in from the turn signals. (As a mail carrier, I'm required to have a revolving or strobe amber light or flashing warning lights.) On September 21st the other mail carrier on our contract route was involved in an accident that fractured her wrist so my RAV4 is currently on the route 6 days a week at 1500 miles a week! Since March I have put 35,000 miles on my RAV4."
