OK...I just could not take it anymore. Spent 10 minutes with a cutting wheel and a dremel.
I have to say, not overly impressed with this filter. Only had 883 miles on it. Oil looks golden (better be) and no specs. Once people have commented on it and dont need addtional pics, I am going to tear apart the filter media.

"Colonel" I sure hope that's a retired Colonel cause you have a lot of time on your hands.....lol
Take it apart in a solvent solution and have a magnet sitting in there. Ya gotten find all the metal shavings! |

The pleats look pretty weird - like a thick material in a shallow "U" pattern, but I can't really tell. Will be interested to see what you come up in your dissections.  |

A definate thought! I will try and "clean" out what I can to see construction.
Colonel, a nickname I have had since gradeschool.
