Kelly,
Still thinking about coming. I am looking for a replacement engine for the '98. It just turned over 290,000 and it is not doing too well so just decided to swap it out with another engine.
I updated my e-mail address.

Update! Only THREE days until our meet
To answer a few questions PUBLICLY... that a few of you have asked via email.
1. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event. Your CHILDREN and FRIENDS are welcome to join us
2. The drive to the Oregon Coast (Astoria/Seaside) section of the meet is OPTIONAL. If you'd rather just meet up with us at the restaurant then leave... or continue on to tour the TOYOTA port facility... then leave... no problem ...but you will be MISSING out on a VERY SCENIC drive
3. Our meet ends in SEASIDE, Oregon. This is the same day Seaside hosts the WHEELS & WAVES Car Show! http://www.oldride.com/events/9957561.html
The town of SEASIDE is going to be PACKED!! If you planned on spending the night in Seaside... I hope you already have room reservations. If not... plan on driving back to the Portland area... approx. 70 miles.
PS - Here's a sample of the cars that showed up at last years "Wheels & Waves" Link _________________ <-- Note: Larger Avatar! / SEARCH is your friend. |

Hey Kelly,
Well, despite begging, pleading and trying to bribe my way out of work, I couldn't swing it.
The wife and I will pass this year, but are looking forward to another meet sometime in the future!
We hope you all have a great time!
Cheers,
E & B |

that drive to seaside is very nice kelly...did that a few years back from seaside to astoria. I just went to seaside so i could go to the outlets (love the swoosh), but the coast line was spectacular. i'd love to also see the toyota port in portland (does it compare to long beach?). too bad oregon ain't closer to LA |

No... it doesn't compare... the Portland facility is waaaaaaaaaaay nicer Actually... I can't really say how they compare... as I've never been to the Long Beach facility. I can say that Portland is PROBABLY nicer.... as it's only a couple years old
You Californians are gonna have to bite the bullet... mark you calendars... and make a ROAD TRIP of it next time around
TLS Portland = 110 acres
Parking Capacity = 10,800
Production Volume 2007 = 285,000 vehicles (est.) _________________ <-- Note: Larger Avatar! / SEARCH is your friend. |

Meet went GOOD We had TEN RAVs show up for the Port tour! Then SIX of us headed for the coast. Then FIVE for the beach drive. The meet went pretty smooth... until we hit the beach
It was GREAT being able to actually meet some of forum members.
We will have a full report later. _________________ <-- Note: Larger Avatar! / SEARCH is your friend. |

We had a great time at the meet. I've spent the night typing up a "full report" . You can see it on the RAV4 Meet page of my website. Enjoy!
Thanks once again to Kelly and Deb for organising the day!
