I'd like one as well, if you have any remaining. Thanks for taking the time to offer these!

Thanks, mcvitie70/John! Got the shield today; simple installation. However, I did notice the small tab towards the back of the OEM canister bracket was bent down a bit by the wider/bolted part of the shield.
Overall a secure, robust, and good fitting shield that Toyota should have provided as standard equipment (like the Aussie RAV4.3s). Well worth the price for the peace of mind. |

Seems like everyone is receiving the latest lot of shields now. Glad you like them.

I have to say I am puzzled by this as the shield sits between the OEM canister bracket and the car body as shown in the instructions that were included. Do you have any photos of this, or maybe someone else has experienced this?
Let me know.
sprengstof - I have added you to the top of the wait list. All the ones I bought were allocated but two people who received payment information from me on 8/21 and 8/22 have not paid or contacted me so I will send them notice that they are off the list unless they just submitted payment. I will give them 24hrs to pay up. I don't need time-wasters like this as it takes time to email or PM people with information and it all needs to be kept track of. Assuming I don't hear from them in the next day, I will contact you.
I am now taking names for another potential order.
Thanks to everyone.

Best custom made part I ever bought - installed in less than 5 minutes, took me longer to find that f******* 12 mm socket than putting the shield on, not even worth to get a cold beer.
THANKS JOHN |

John - Thanks for the status update. Here's hoping that at least one of them doesn't pay-up! |

 Please click image for fullsize
It appears to be an anti-rotational tab on oem bracket thats fits around the body frame. With the base of the shield being wider than the body frame, a small section of the tab is bent downwards/away from the shield when the bolt is tightened. Not a big deal and the tab still prevented the oem bracket from rotating during bolt tightening.
Re-edited to relocate image.

Nice photo RadRAV4, thanks. I see what you mean - you are right, that's definitely not a problem. Thanks again for posting the photo.
callglobalbob - All of the ones I bought have now been allocated, plus I have a few people joining a wait list for another potential order. I can add you to that list if you like. As before, I will wait until I have enough names to place an order - some people email or PM me so I will occasionally post updates on how close I am to ordering.
If you are on the wait list and change your mind and want to be removed, please let me know.
Thanks very much.

@All
I really have to praise John (mcvitie70) for what he did. After missing the first batch, I signed up via PM. Beside the instant response and not knowing how long it would take without further notice a little box showed up at work. Quality is very good, even broken edges that you cannot harm yourself while installing and a really nicely done piece of hardware. All who would like to get this item should sign up, it's worth it.
Thanks John, G'Day all together and Happy RAVing
