Just finished fabricating my $5 canister shield.

Bought a piece of sheet metal from my local hardware store and fabricated the canister shield. piece of cake, now to test the 3" puddles @60 mph. Canister shield is held down by 2 bolts, pretty stout.

Thanks, it wasn't hard. I just used a mallet and a wheel cutter.

I would think a 1/8" plate would be plenty.

I've heard the new rav's come with a shield (haven't seen one yet so I don't know for sure). I wonder how much the dealer charges for it?
